A post and an FO

luke's socks FO, originally uploaded by melanieviney.

I have actually been knitting of late. But not so much of the blogging as I have a bit addicted to Ravelry of late.
Anyway these are some socks I knitted for Luke, a friends son. I'll be sending them off to him this week. I hope he likes them. He picked the colours himself. Dark blue to wear to school and yellow because it's his favourite colour. Details on my Ravelry project page if you're in.

Monthly Bookmarks KAL April

From KALs

This is the first KAL I've done with this group, it was fun and I'm looking forward to doing more.
I used Paanda Regal 4ply 100% cotton, this is about a fingering weight, and size 0, 2mm, needles.
I really like the effect that the verrigated yarn made on this one.

Knitted Kitchens KAL

This was great fun to knit.
I used Sugar n cream yarn in Faded Denim and Kahki.
I can see more potholder in my knitting future.
This one will be for my Dad. He has a turtle print in his kitchen.

Winter Knitty!

This has got to be one of my fave issues ever! So many cute projects I want to knit. Fortunately being in Australia I still have six months to knit them, Yay!
Do all these exclaimation marks make it obvious how much I love this issue?!?!?!?
OK time to list my must knits

Stupid things to knit

I don't really think I need to say anything about this offering from Berroco.
I think the worst thing is that they used Alpaca for this. What a waste!
